Big Baby and Racing

Sam and Elijah went with our friends to the Miller Race-way today. They saw fast motorcycles, racecars, they got to ride bikes and Sam even drove a small race bike.
Isaac doesn't look like a newborn anymore! I can not believe he is going to be four weeks on tuesday.
Elijah is walking! It is so sad to watch, he has a limp but he is getting around just fine now.

More changes for Elijah!! He got a walking cast on, but he still hasn't walked on it. I think it is strange to be told not to walk for a week and then told to walk all of a sudden. He is still grumpy but he is an Atencio-Sloan and he can't get all his energy out. His new thing is Kids Meals. He loves them, to me it just means we have been eating out way too much the last few weeks. Isaac is getting big already. He loves to eat and sleep. But mostly he loves to eat ALOT!! Isaac doesn't have the newborn gray eye color, he was born with black-brown eyes. It will be interesting to see if they stay that way or not. Sam and Elijah have such dark brown eyes!
Sam started the semester this week. It doesn't seem like it will be too bad, he only has class one day a week and the rest of his classes are online. He did very well last semester, of course. The final he took the day I had Isaac he got a B on! He does so good under pressure and he barely had time to study for it with me being in labor all weekend.
I am feeling pretty good. My emotional roller coaster is slowing down and I am healing very well!! I can not wait until I can carry Elijah. He breaks my heart when he wants me to carry him and I can't. How do you explain that to a two year old.

A Day at The Park part 2 (WTF)

I know that day at the park looked nice but right at the end Elijah fell off a slow moving, low to the ground swing. He was really upset and crying a lot but he fell asleep not too long after so we thought he was finally having an emotional outburst from his life changing so much. We were wrong. He was crying because he broke his leg. He has a fracture called a toddler fracture (yes it is called that). I feel so badly for him! He can not walk on it for at least a week! He will be in a cast for six to eight weeks. I can not carry him because of the c-section so Sam is on Daddy duty for the next while. The good news is Elijah is still in love with Isaac and Isaac is doing well. I am glad for Sam having FMLA and I am glad we both have such supportive families.

We just rolled him to the intermediate nursery from NBICU. Later this afternoon he should be able to chill in mom's room.

Born 5-5-09 @ 1515 weighing in at 6lbs 14oz and measuring 20 inches in length.

Day Three

It is my third day of contractions and I am getting tired and emotional. The contractions are worse then yesterday but no worse than Saturday. I am suppose to call my doctor in the morning and if I am still having contractions then we will decide what the next step is. I envy all you woman who have nice short labors and I kind of dislike you all right now too!!!

I am still in early labor!! I am hanging out having contractions but I am sure I haven't advanced very far. We will see what happens tonight. I have a doctor's appt tomorrow so I will know more in the morning.

Quick Update

We are home. The baby is still in the belly. We are all very tired. More to follow.

I started having contractions this morning (saturday). I am finally at the hospital but things are going slow and they aren't sure what to do with us yet. We may have a baby today!

Daddy Day Care Post #1

0815-I am dragged from the bed by Elijah. He wants, in the following order, mom, cereal, water, bikes, and "go-go-go-fast-daddy". We proceed to watch the following video 5 times.

0840-Breakfast is completed. The table and floor are cleaned. A debate ensues over which dog is softer: Mona or Buckley? Then he asks "Fix Car Please". Nuff said. We are off to fix/clean the car in our PJs.

Dancing and Baby

We went to get ice cream after dinner tonight. Elijah was his best self, asking please for angus (ice cream), telling the workers thank you multiple times, and dancing for the crowd. He got off his chair to dance, he did some break dancing, some jumps, some side stepping and some butt shaking (thank you papa). The customers and workers all loved him! I think he did it for all the pretty ladies there!
I had an ultrasound today. Baby is getting big, like measuring over a week ahead. Baby also has lots of hair, a good looking heart but wouldn't show us it's face and kept it's legs crossed the whole time (so no knowing the sex). Our section is scheduled for May 12th at 7:30 am! It is kind of strange to know the exact time and day we are having a baby.

Poor Elijah has another cold. He has been sick four times in four months. So far this cold isn't too bad but he is so grumpy. He reminds me of my brothers!! Poor Sam! He is working so hard for us and he is so tired. He needs a good break from school and work. He is almost done with his second semester, just a few more weeks and he is there. He won't have much of a break though because the baby is coming on his week off.
We are still looking at houses. I think the houses are getting nicer and we even saw one we might bid on. I want a house but if someone accepts our offer then we will be moving about the time the baby comes. I won't be much help moving after a c-section.
I am feeling pregnant! As the picture shows I am also looking very pregnant! I still feel good but the running as turned into a fast walk!

She's Hefty! 35 weeks.

Elijah has not once worn his helmet and liked it. Until Sam had a brilliant idea and got him a McQueen helmet. Not only did he want to ride it while riding his bike but he also wore it while playing at the park. We did tell him it was a moto helmet and it makes him go faster but whatever works right!

Turning 30 and loving it!!

Today is my 30th birthday! I am excited for my 30's and looking forward to the next year. Thank you to my husband who spoils me and who is so thoughtful. He bought me a pregnancy massage and a Nike/Ipod system.
My c-section is scheduled for May 12th. We only have six weeks and a few days until the baby arrives and all of a sudden I am nervous. I am also excited to find out if this baby is a boy or a girl and to hold my baby. I am also excited for Elijah to be a big brother and to have a friend to play outside with.
